Ruckus means: make a noisy commotion, cause a disturbance, or controversy. The original Ruckus journal originated when I was in my adolescence. It was more of a catch phrase with my friends, “Hey, let’s go Ruckus!” It became a memoir of my youth, growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado. When I began blogging I decided to keep the name, it seemed catchy at the time but now I see Ruckus through a whole new lens; the lens of the Gospel of Christ. I am a radical, to say the least, follower of Christ. I desire to give my whole life; time, money, and energy to bringing glory to His name. I believe He has called me to be a messenger of righteousness and one who will lead and guide others to usher in the second coming of Christ Jesus.
I am committed to making a noisy commotion about the words in red. There was once a time in history when God took on flesh and the God Man revealed him self to humanity. Never do I want to stray away at the awe of this mystery, the mystery of the incarnation.
In John 1:14 God decided to make a commotion: “And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
He came, lived, died and rose as a man and He will return again as fully God and fully man. He will “cause a great disturbance” for the sake of Love and the fame of His name. He will invade the Kings and Leaders of nations. Phil.2:10, “So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

When that Day comes, when Jesus will come with all the angels; it will for certain be a great disturbance to those who do not believe, or have not received the Son of God. I believe I am an Isaiah 40:6-9 messenger; one that will get up to the high places and make a ruckus about the return of the King. I am strongly convinced that we(body of Christ) need to “Take and eat it(the word of God); it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”(Rev. 10:9)
The controversy: well, I don’t desire to take part in what Paul tells the Colossians as “taken captive by philosophy and empty deceit”(Col. 2:8) and his warning to young Timothy, not to “devote themselves to myths and endless geneologies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith”(1 Tim. 1: 4). I by no means am a perfect man, but rather so, so very weak. And by my weak words met by His grace and mercy I want to proclaim and “raise the ruckus” that there is only one way to the Father and it is through the man Christ Jesus.
His presence is a great disturbance. As I have given myself more to the word of God the more I have come to see that God’s convicting Holy Spirit hovers over my life. He knows how to lead us and get us to choose Him. He knows how to awaken love in our hearts so that we see that nothing else can satisfy but Him, but the process of Him speaking and us sitting can be a little disturbing to us. Because we so naturally don’t love God and love the things of God; we love the world, and the lusts of the flesh.(I John 2:15)

(The Mac Store Pic, a little stretched out, this is what I look like when I am thinking of something cool to write)
When I sit in His presence I am saying, “God, your will be done, I am yours, you are mine; I will speak when you tell me to speak and I will be silent if you say silence.” This, to me, is a Fear of Lord thrill ride, and the only way to live; on the edge, trusting in His very words each and every day of this life. God, out of his jealousy, invades our life because He deisres so strongly to be with us. Here are a few of my favorite verses reagarding this.
Deuteronemy 4:24 “For the Lord your God is a consumming fire.”
Job 23:13-15 “But he is unchangable, and who can turn him back? What he desires, that he does. For he will complete what he appoints for me, and many such things are in his mind. Therefore I am terrified at his presence; when I consider, I am in dread of him.”
Mathew 10:28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
